US Department of Education CTO Challenge Semi-Finalist Announcement: 10 States Selected

Congratulations to the 10 state winners of the US Department of Education’s Connecting Talent to Opportunity (CTO) Challenge. The governors of competing states had to sign off on their teams’ submissions: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Montana, South Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia.

There are ten state teams selected as semifinalists to begin the process of building Talent Marketplaces to bring coherence to the various state education and training to employment infrastructure including Learning and Employment Records, Credential Registries and Skill-Based Job Generators.

We at the nonprofit National Laboratory for Education Transformation, www.NLET.org, have put together a website to provide assistance to semifinalists and other states who are interested in building talent marketplaces. NLET has a long record of working in the education-to-employment space.
