NLET’s transformation strategy is based on going beyond traditional reform strategies and beyond current innovation strategies in favor of creating change through a shared commitment to a measuring success by how much culture and practice changes. Too many interventions, reforms and innovations are not focused on measurement and culture change.
This strategy requires end-user pilot sites that want to work together for significant change in some aspect of learning, education and training. Long-term, NLET wants to see more and more information, choices and knowledge in the hands of end-users themselves, students, families and job seekers.
Oddly enough, we need to democratize education and training. In today’s world institutions are no longer capable of having all the answers without the direct participation of those they are serving.
