Meeting Every Learner Where They Are
NLET supports learners, and those who serve them, with student centric, technology enhanced approaches. We help educators better understand the learners they serve and deploy targeted, on demand, and holistic support to improve educational outcomes.
Spotlight Scalable Math Access
Our commitment to supporting learners on their educational journey is highlighted in NLET’s current work in math. At the heart is a personalized approach and the deployment of curated open-educational resources aligned with automated formative feedback. This feedback supports learners through recognition of where they are progressing adequately, and where they need additional support.
Just In Time Math
Just In Time Math is a free, competency-based, and interactive platform for identifying individual strengths and gaps in math concepts and operations. It provides efficient, formative cycles of assessment and tutorials to provide feedback to students and accelerate them towards more complex math concepts.
Currently, NLET and Pragya Systems are deploying Just In Time Math across 13 California Community Colleges through the California Corequisite Initiative (CCI). CCI is a systemwide effort to develop and widely share a set of tools to improve instruction, delivery, and equitable student outcomes in corequisite math courses. The initiative is a collaboration among several organizations under the direction of the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office.
