Redefining Credentials to Lead the Education-to-Employment Transformation
Education is charged with surfacing evidence of what people know and can do. These credentials have traditionally been limited to advancement from one K-12 grade level to another, the granting of a high school degree (or its equivalent), or completion of post-secondary degrees or certificates. Recently, the value of some of these larger grained credentials has been seriously questioned. Credentials are confronting a roadblock between the credentials currently offered by schools, higher education, career and technical and professional education providers, and what specific knowledge and skills the learners can demonstrate to relevant employers.

Nucleos, Inc.
Nucleos was founded to help people with limited opportunities get access to high-quality education and training. In the criminal justice system, better education and training opportunities are critical to criminal justice reform, and to supporting a correctional system which is focused on rehabilitation rather than retribution.
Prison education programs and correctional agencies have a unique opportunity to promote a more just society. In today’s world, a high-quality education requires both in-person and digital components. Nucleos helps support the digital component of prison education programs.
